-The Demon Awakens was one of the true masterpieces written in Fantasy. Being a huge Drizzt fan, I was reluctant to read this book at first but I convinced myself to see how it was. I was not dissapointed as the book hel within everything you could want from a Fantasy novel. A great plot, great characters, and great battles.
The Demon Spirit
-The Demon Spirit was a very good follow-up to the Demon Awakens. It starts right where the last book left off which is a great plus. Although being a great book, The Demon Spirit lacks the intense mastery and battle choreography of The Demon Awakens and the ending is lacking. Still a great read.
The Demon Apostle
-The final book in the first Demon Wars series proves to be the best of the series. From beginning to end it captures the reader's interest. It includes R.A. Salvatore's best battle choreography in huge wars, and intense one-on-one confrontations. The incredible ending is still breathtaking just thinking about it.
-Who would have ever thought that after that immense succes of The Demon Awakens, the bridge book between the two Demon Wars series could have been just as good? I would have never thought possible, but I was wrong. Mortalis is what R.A. Salvatore calls his greatest work ever. The story is emphasized more on an emotional standpoint rather than a battle aspect.(Although there are plenty of battles) It deals with very personal issues and is a touching story for any literature fan.
-The first book in the second Demon Wars series does not dissapoint. Packed full of political intrigue and battles, Ascendance introduces new characters and keeps old ones that the fans will fall in love with all over again as they did with The Demon Awakens. A little short, but other than that almost perfect.
-Transcendence takes place roughly around the same time as Ascendance and follows the quest of a character you will meet in Ascendance. As with it's predeccessor, you meet some great new characters who all vary and diversify in their own way. The story and the relationships dealt in this novel are very mature and all readers should be happy.
